Ok I am trying to figure out whether I am going to keep my jeep or get rid of it. I have an 87 Cherokee Chief that is in ok shape physically, paint is faded and the window seals are shot. No obvious rust on the body. Engine runs well takes a few to start but I will attribute that to fuel pressure leakdown. 4x4 works well, transfer case is in good shape, no snapping or popping. Doesn't burn oil, replaced the power steering pump, and replaced a 63 amp alt with a 100 amp since the vehicle is all electric. What is a ball park figure for a private sale, mileage is high at 195k. Any ideas? I can get pictures inside and out as needed but I think I do have a few on my profile here.

I would say about $1000. Clean it up inside and out as best you can, and you might be able to get 12 for it.

 

did your 87 come with the D44? because that could help if selling to a fellow jeeper

 

how?? i payed 3,000 for mine at 140,000 miles mine was in mint shape body wise though
