Im about to go ahead with this purchase, but wanted to get some thoughts & opinions first. I found it for $53.00 shipped to my door...

Never heard of it before, but I like the idea of the weather alert.
I just picked up a 23 channel cb for 3 bucks yesterday, its HUGE. lol

 

Haha, yeah i've found some used ones for pretty cheap too. Originally I was gonn ago the cheap route too, but im intrigued by this weather alert thing (even though i'll prolly never use it.)... lol

 

it comes in handy when youre camping, on a road trip, etc.
Thats one of the things on my list: A weather radio, aircard for the laptop, power inverter.

I would definately go with it, theres not really much that can go wrong with a CB and Unidens are pretty good (though Ive heard the stock mics kinda suck).

 

Some people are Uniden haters, but all the reviews im reading about this specific CB are overall pretty solid...

 

The unit is good, most complaints I heard of are about the mic. People complain about the plastic and the button. Honestly I don't think it is that bad. Especially for the price. It will serve your purpose

 

I think im just gonna pull the trigger on it. I'll be sure to do a write up on the install & review the product once its on.
