Default Need advice on buying a 1999 cherokee sport

So, i've been looking at a 1999 jeep cherokee sport 4dr, with 128k miles on it, one owner (owner of adams jeep in md). its perfect. no paint scratches/blemishes, interior is top notch, lost of new motor parts, etc. it also has wheels and brand new 31's. theyre asking $6800 obo. now i know thats a little pricey, but theyre flexible about it. i dont know how else to describe it but pristine. i right now have a 2006 gmc envoy, which is a total POS its been in the shop 6 times in 5 months. i want to get rid of it and hopefully pic up this cherokee for me and the fam. anyone think this would be a bad idea? 3 reasons i want to is, easier for me to maintain myself, cheaper loan, cheaper ins... (bought the ****voy from jones junction in bel air BTW). \

i'd like to hear your thoughts, thanks

If you don't want to wheel it hard, might be worth it but you will still need some money for repairs as it is an old Jeep. If you want something you can beat up and not feel bad about, go cheap. If I wanted a clean DD it would not be a Cherokee.

i plan on maybe light wheeling it, but as far as repairs go, theres a laundry list of things just replaced before he (the dealer owner) put it on the lot, all regular maintence, radiator, water pump, belts, pulleys, brakes, rotors, plugs, wires, etcetc. so its def running like a champ. i would get a wrangler, but i've always loved cherokees and i dont feel safe enough to have my two year old in a wrangler anyway

i was gonna go private, but i need to trade in my ****voy, so this was the best i could find, and adams jeep is 5stars in quality compared to most stealerships, so knowing that the owner has had this since day one makes me feel better plus its a jeep dealership

X2!! I agree. That is highway robbery for that Jeep. You could find 3 in good shape for that money.
