So the PO installed a pioneer deh - p6300 in my jeep and the other day the buttons stopped working so I had to take the deck out to turn it off, but it respond to volumes controls and still play my iPod but no buttons would work, today I'm driving down the road and bam, radio cuts out. It is completely unresponsive. I check the fuse in the passenger side kick panel, right side 3rd from the top blue 15 amp. It's fine. I would like to not have to buy a new deck any help is appreciated!
It probably **** the bed.
Depending on the HU, there would be an external power wire with an inline fuse in it. Check that. Make sure it is getting power with a MM. If it is then it's probably toast.

You might be able to find a face for it depending on how old it was. You can also just get a new one in the ballpark of $100.

Check the contacts on the back of the face, sometimes they get a little corrosion/film on them and then the HU will start to act erratically. You can usually clean them up with some isopropyl alcohol.
