is my jeep to old for a lift kit?
I have a 1998 jeep Cherokee se 4.0 2 WD with 150,000 miles on it I have brand new tires but they're on stock 15 inch rims can I still get a lift kit? Or should I just replace the shocks springs, coils, and leaf springs and not get a lift at all? I have 2wd so I won't be jeepin to hard I just want a smoother ride and sit a little taller l.

Sure you can lift it and would look OK but.........I would wait till I could get larger tires and at least a 15x8" wheel with 3 3/4" of BS then you could run a 31" tire easy with a 3" lift.
A full spring package lift kit coils, leafs, shocks, hardware from Rustys Off Road (they have very good springs) and they are what counts. All for about $438 plus all American Made including the springs, many kits have springs that are really crap.
I have saw a few 2wd XJ's lifted and looked great, one was white with black steel wheels and 33" tires.
