Hi All

I came here looking for some advise after seeing some real beauties on a thread about lift/tire combinations.

I want to raise my 99XJ (looking at 3 inches) and put some bigger tyres on (looking at 30's or so)

I don't want to have to do anything other than change the springs, shocks etc just yet and want to avoid drive train issues etc. Might put on a quick remove sway bar (as it's quite cheap)

I'm looking at Rough Country (can't get anything else other OME here in the UK, if so I haven't found anyone yet) 3inch (new leafs) and probably BFG's on black steels.

Any thoughts or better still pics of a similar setup ??

if 30's are all you want to run than just buy a 2in budget boost kit, mine took about 1hr and 30 mins to install and later on you can run a 3in lift on top of the 2in.

30s will fit stock guys. 235/75/15 is a 30" and that runs on stock xj's. if your gonna lift it 3 in youll be able to run 31s

X2 get the 3" RC kit throw some 31's on it and you will be happy and most likly avoid driveline issues. If so drop the T case. (I get no vibes with a t case drop and im at 5" and 33's)

this is kind of the look I want but on stock rims !!

What is main benefit of the lift vs, say just putting on bigger, off roading tyres.

The reason you lift is to fit larger tires.
