Not saying i'm proud of doing this, but I've had a system in my XJ since september of last year and I don't have window tint. No problems knock on wood. Im down in detroit a lot with my Jeep on trips to the junk yard and haven't had any issues. Its all about the outer appearance of a vehicle that let's a car theif know if there might be something worth taking inside. My XJ currently has bad paint and a few minor flaws that probably make people think there's nothing special inside. I plan on having my windows tinted soon however just to make sure nothing bad happens.

 

I finally picked her up this past thursday around 8pm and began the mods on saturday and I'm addicted lol. I was really excited and quite shocked to find the window sticker. I picked her up with 76703 on her and put a little over 100 miles on her over the weekend running to the parts store and still have about half a tank. They filled the tank for me so that was at least $80 off of the top that I didnt have to buy. My dad ran new speaker wire to the left front speaker since the wire was bad and installed an alpine head unit and 2 Pioneer speakers that we had laying around while I worked on other things. I ran the USB wire from the back of the head unit to the inside of the center console so for a nice clean feel..We decided that we are welding all three CB antenna holes on the roof and will run a whip one on my future tire carrier instead.hell thats enough of me talking for now the pics will talk for themselves haha. As for the roof rusting, does anybody have(had) this problem? I find it kind of odd but idk jeeps all that well...YET

That's pretty funny, I was looking at picking one of their green jeeps up when they were auctioning it... They must've losy funding, but hey, their loss is our gain...

Nice find, I have a 91 with the special service package although mine is a 5spd with a whole bunch more miles (215k)
