So I went out for a mother's day dinner with the wife and son on Saturday, I came home to find my jeep was missing. I called the police and they told me it was repoed with was strange cause as far as knew I was up to date on the payment. I called the bank today and they told me I was 1370 bucks behind, turns out they were taking my jeep payment and applying it towards my wife's car. They told me they could not take that paid money from the other car and move it to the jeep to fix things. So long story short I had to buy my jeep back for 1370 $ in cash today, I guess on the bright side my other car payment is ahead.

 

Thats effed up all the way around. They screwed up they ought to have made it right , I think I would have had a chat with someone higher up it was a screw up on their end.

 

All i can say is....wow!lol

 

I told them if I could have my wheels and tires they could keep it and they told me to get bent

Yeah it's tucked up but I was 70 miles from the bank driving a dumptruck so my wife had to deal with it by herself, they were ready fro get the jeep to the auction. Luckaly her dad is a jeeper and cares eunughf to bail the jeep out. Needless to say I have already contacted a different credit union that would be more than happy to buy my loans.

 

Why aren't you contacting a lawyer? If what you say is true, then you have a legitimate case. If it was me, the bank would be owing me some money.

 

I would get a lawyer and give them hell.

 

did you have to pay anything other than the late payments? like repo fees, or impound fees? if that were the case you should obviously get that back. i would blow a gasket for sure!

 

Banks make several attempts to contact you via phone and letter before a vehicle is repossessed yes they make have screwed up but you should have known what was going on. Also if you have cleared checks you better lawyer up pretty much every lawyer will jump all over that case if what you say is true.

 

This could be the greatest thread ever, get a lawyer, sue and battle it out see what a judge says, and report the updates as they become available. , it'll be like watching our own little reality show.

That bank needs a swift kick in the groin.

 

A friend of mine does repos they do screw up more times then most think.Them taking your payment and putting it on the wrong car is messed up.How much do you have left to pay it off?I would talk to a lawyer and find a way to switch banks for both loans.
