I prefer rocks because it is always different and interesting. Mud is fun to go through every once in a while, but it's too much work to wash out of all the tight spots. Never really wheeled in snow, but would like to.

I see why some people like mud but it's not for me. my alternator does not like it
I love rocks and off camber, ruts, trenches etc. I like picking lines and going where other people are afraid to go. it's always interesting and it's fun challenging your buddies and being better than them and being challenged to try something new. and it's fun risking body damage and carnage too. pushing through a rough trail and making it out the other side and driving back home
and I never wheeled snow. but I just plain hate snow. who wants to go hang out in a bunch of shaved ice for awhile. not me

Rocks and mountain trail rides I like them cause its a mixture of mud, rocks, and snow when we get it here in Arkansas I really don't like deep mud but I will splash through small stuff

No one likes mud!!! Lol jj it's a pain to clean off but down here in Louisiana there's no snow and hardly no rock, do we build our jeep to withstand mud and water damage as I gotta do this weekend when I got a lil deeper than I thought got about 4in of muddy water in her, now I gotta rip the carpet out get some more rhyino lining done. I love mudding but as soon as my jeeps ready for trails no more mud for her. I do in join trails around here but there never that big and always in woods with ditches, a lil mud trees and other obsticals but it's not rocks unfortunitly I'd have to travel like 4 hrs just to get anywhere there's a nice wheeling place and haven't been yet but planning on it.

I prefer rocks usually. Not boulders but rocks you know. Snow is definetley fun! Just not trying to wheel in it. And mud. Its cool I'm just sick and tired of working on my jeep and having it fall in my eye lol
Rocks in the summer, snow in the winter duh lol. The only trails open in my ranger district in winter are way too easy in dry conditions, snow makes them much more interesting

I love navigating through quad trails. Where you are constantly trying to squeeze through a tight spot. Crossing over large logs, etc...
I always pack a saw with me, and often have to use it to get through a trail.
