30" Cooper STT's 38k and in need of replacement, gonna run them through the winter due to lack of funds, I expect 40K. The STT's kick A$$ offroad, but I've only been able to go in the sloppy junk a handful of times so my next set is going to be General Grabber At's, they have 60k warranty. I'd never expect that but they resemble more of a BFG AT as opposed to a MT.
If I was looking for a 31" definately these......https://treadwright.com/p-12-31-10-50r15-guard-dog-m-t.aspx

Do you have any complaints with the Coopers? Every review I check, they do great and are highly recommended.

Called a local Cooper supplier shop and the Discoverers are on backorder, and I guess Cooper is on strike at the moment as well, lol. I'll see if there are any other local shops that have what I'm looking for or something similar.

Are the Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs any good in the mud?

Edit: Looked into the Duratracs, not too thrilled with them. Checked out the ones with kevlar, I guess they wear fast on the road. I found the Kuhmo Road Ventures on Tirerack for about $180/per, and their warehouse is only about 2 hours away, too. A few of you guys here gave them great reviews, as did the other review sites. So I'll see if I can get a hold of these.

Thanks

They have never left me stranded, no flats, and only had 1 leak fixed, in 4 years. Balance well, kicked a$$ in anything I threw at them offroad.

Again, thanks!

He has a set of Mastercrafts listed there. I've never owned the M/T's but I've been running the A/T's for about 2k miles now on my Jeep and about 15k on my Parents' 3/4 ton Ford and they're a great tire IMO. Mastercrafts are big around here and a lot of people like the M/T's too. Look on the Mastercraft website, if you're looking for something even more aggressive have a look at the Courser C/T. They don't come with a treadwear warranty but people love the way they perform.
Just my $.02

For $550 I had my 235 A/T's with lifetime warranty, Lifetime Road Hazard, and Lifetime Rotation with a 50k warranty just as a good start for average prices..

I just bought a set of Bridgestone Dueler A/T 695's P235/75R15.... They ride great and are awesome in the wet so far.... But, did some research on Tire Rack and maybe I should've gotten the Firestone Destination A/T's..... Anyone have experience with the 695's on light off roading or in the snow/ice ?

So I'm pretty much deciding between the Cooper Discoverer STTs and the Kumho Road Ventures. The Coopers I'd have to buy online and have shipped. The Ventures I can drive about 2 hours to Indiana and pick them up at TireRack's warehouse. I'm leaning more towards the Cooper honestly.

I'll more than likely go with those, and if I can't get them, probably the Ventures. I'll let you guys know.

Thanks

Check here http://www.treadepot.com/tire/76105.html?CID=3 for the Coopers. I linked TreadWright tires in my first post, why no consideration to those? They come on MTR or BFG carcass's, have not read a bad review and they supposidly have an excellent warranty, seems like a no brainer if i was looking for 31's.

On a side note I scored a set of 30" BFG At's, w/10 k on them (lots of life left), on a set of American Racing rims today for $400, had to drive 75 mi, but well worth it IMO

Totally missed that! I'll give those a look. I actually discovered TreadDepot last night when looking for the Coopers. Shipped to me would be about $80. If I go with the Kumhos, or another tire from TireRack, I can drive to Indiana and pick them up from the warehouse, saving on shipping.

I'll go over those tires you posted. Off hand, do they make 33s?

Thanks

So bit of an update. I was planning on buying the tires this week, but I just got my two sets of rims checked out. I picked up a set of 33s on Jeep rims off Craigslist. Long story short it's a 7'' rim, and the 33s don't belong on them, according to the rim guy. My black rims are 8.5''. Those can handle 33s, it's just on the low end of it. I don't really want to have to buy a set of rims on top of the tires. What do you guys think? I also don't want to have to go back to 31s, since I cut my fenders for the 33s and etc..

So how dangerous or not recommended is it to put the 31s on the 15x8.5?

Also, the guy recommended the General SLRs and Grabber AT2s. I know a few of you have those, so I'm going to look into them a bit more, although I'm still leaning towards the Kumhos.

Thanks guys

So I came across this forum post, http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f59/1...-tires-726584/ it appears it'll be a bit more than fine, since mine are 15x8.5, instead of 8.

There are a lot of people running 16x7 and 17x7 rims with 33" tires. I run a 16x7 with 285/75R16's on the Jeep right now and have run 15x7's with 33x12.50 bias swampers they work but the wear on them is more on the center of the tire. The skinnier 285/75's wear is normal. You should be fine on 15x8's

Drove the hour and a half to Tire Rack's South Bend, IN warehouse and picked up the Kumho MTs. I have to say, the tread on these tires look absolutely sick. Not to mention big.

$180/per, too. Can't argue with that.

33x12.5R15 Going on my 15x8.5s
AT/MT All Around Tire?-yphhi.jpg

I'll be looking into getting them installed tomorrow.

Thanks again everyone for helping me decide!
