Fair enough. First set of AT/MTs I'm buying that are actually new, so still unsure about what to get. I'll definitely keep that in mind, since I could probably get a higher quality tire for that price.

Best tires I've owned...right up there with the original GY MT/R!

Thanks for that. I'll keep those in mind too. I really like the tread on those.

Are these worth considering? http://www.quadratec.com/products/92610_4XX_A_PG.htm

I figured they'd be something like that. The tread/look seemed too eccentric to be good.

Now I have a newbie rim size question. When I bought my Jeep, it came with nice looking rims that were on my 31'' MTs. The tire size is 31x10.50. Could I find a 33'' that would fit that? And would it be 33x10.50? I forgot the rest of the information on the tire, I can get it tomorrow if needed.

Thanks

I would get these

http://www.quadratec.com/products/92610_3XX_PG.htm

over those any day of the week. In fact if I had the money I would get them over any other radial out there.

Those look nice! I forgot to mention my budget though, sorry. I'd be comfortable a bit over $200/per for 33s. But if I can't find something, I'll up my budget.

Thanks though!

Thank you very much! I'll compare these tomorrow, quite tired atm. I was looking at either that exact tire with kevlar, or another one, and the sales guy insisted it was strictly for rock crawling. Which is understandable, but you'd think it'd be nice to have a strong reinforced tire on any terrain, right?

Again, thanks!

I run 35" cooper stt's on my xj (awesome), 33" bfg a/t's on my truck (mostly street, good offroad but not as much for mud and not for clay), and my buddy runs 33" dick cepek mt's which perform awesome in mud and snow. Hope it helps.

Ive seen people drive their rigs to rock courses and do really well on MTR's then drive home again but they dont like mud.

If I were to get a set of tires right now, I would get BFG KM2's. 2 friends got a set of 5 tires in the 35" flavor, mounted and balanced for under $1300 + whatever warranty . Which I think it a deal. I ride with them regularly and they both love those tires for their DD. I rock 33 KM1's, which they dont make anymore but can still find deals on used ones, and I really like them on and off road. Not loud at 70mph and great on the trail, they could have alittle better traction if I grooved some of the lugs.

I did some checking today, and am really liking the Cooper Discoverer STT. Price is nice. Reviews are great.
