mpg
Hi, I just bought my first jeep and I love it. It's a 2 door 1991 cherokee. I have a question regarding the mpg; there are a lot of new chips on the market that are supposed to increase the mpg, does anyone here use one or have other gas saving tips?

Start with using Seafoam, a tuneup, and correct tire pressure is the cheapest and easiest way. Then you could turn to a cold air intake but that will cost a bit more depending on to what level you want to go.

easiest way is driving method... also tune up, seafoam, cold air intake, easy flow exaust systems. with some of these upgrades with a 91 you should get around 20 mpg avg.

I was getting 11mpg in my 96. I used a three part cleaning system I bought from summit racing (1 for the intake, 1 through the vacuum and 1 for the tank) and replaced the CAT with a magna flow CAT I'm up around 16-17.

seafoam is a miracle in a can. had a rough idle about three weeks ago. ran a can of seafoam, and now she's running like a champ! i normally pour one in about every month or so, to keep that 4.0 running strong.
