Uh..no. The Cj is different than the YJ Wrangler. The 87 YJ shared some Cj parts but was totally different in 88. Cjs were AMC while YJs were ChryCo. Main difference was the suspension. The 258 I6 lived on and still shared a lot of AMC components. ChryCo also dropped the best transmissions in favor of lighter, more highway friendly OD units compared to units like the T-18. I owned a 79 Cj5.
