I want to make my jeep look a little tougher but I don't want to lift it. I'm lookin for suggestions on tire size and any mods I can do that are fairly cheap and look good. My XJ doesn't see the trails very often but I do drive on the beach alot. It's on the road 95% of the time and I want a clean functional look

Thx,
Ryan

You could always trim the fenders and put larger tires on it without lifting it...Tj

Check out TrekkerJmm's pics. He plays around on the beach a lot, and has done a few things to his rig and it looks great.

4" backspaced wheels gives the xj an agressive stance, lifted or not.

id say some bushwhacker flares they would look pretty cool with the 4" backspacing and you wont be flexing too much to mess them up, maybe a mild brush guard and lights

Boo to the bushcrackers! They don't take kindly to trees like stock flares will!

he said he does go on the trail that much so they wouldn't be bad. plus with the backspacing it will keep rocks and sand from tearing the body up
