Looks like it's gonna be pretty restrictive to air flow.

Well that's not its exact position to align with the body
Only held it there for a pic
And can't say until its connected and running
Wont its length make up for restrictivness?

So you are opposed to drilling because it looks bad ? or whats the deal? Because that looks 100 times worse then the ones that go through the fender.

Im opposed to drilling because if the snorkel fails or breaks id rather not have a whole in my truck and im just trying this out temporarily
Its sapose to run under the flare where the airbox is

This would be like a normal snorkel and with less PVC. More PVC like your design would break in a heart beat.

So from what I understand you want to mount it with out making holes in the fender?

I guess make brackets that use the bolts on top of the fender going through the space between fender and hood would be best bet.

And mount it to front of air box. Plump it out under the turn signal light somehow but that's gonna look like crap.

thats y you made ot out of pvc break fix repeat no need to have to worry about a hole

the main thing about making a snorkel is the least bends as possiable there is no need for that design

i agree do the cowl snorkel if your scared of drilling into your fenders but if you have facebook here is a link to my pics of mine in the jeep album

Not my cup of tea, cowl cold air is cheaper and cleaner looking. But you might want to look at how fender CB antenna mounts. Then you wouldn't be drilling so much on the outside anyhow.

I really think you are going to have a rough time mounting it correctly. Would be better to run through the cowl like I did then run a snorkel higher up from the cowl if you want.

You really have to think about how deep you are going. I really don't want to go over the steering wheel, and up to my neck in water. So that's why I put it where I did.

If you are going clear under, then have at it.

As far as air restriction. I really don't think it matters too much. You ever see the stock air inlet on a 97 wrangler!
