NO never rebuilt. cracked the #1 between the valves first winter in Missouri.

Got a 96 xj in 2005 with 140k mi. I still have the same car with 194 k mi. Since then I've redone the water pump, head gasket, new u-joints, a few brake lines, rear diff, and that's pretty much it. Still running strong.

 

1993 2 door with just 85k

 

96 country just tipped 137k. New water pump twice and a starter are only major problems. Just put a new belt and idle tensioner on today. Wouldn't trade my xj for nothing!

 

150,050 Daily driver. Waiting for lift kit in the mail. Right now its auto with 3:55/1 grears and it gets 20mpg. But I pull the front drive shaft in the summer. It gains about 3mpg with drive shaft out. I'll repost MPG with 33" tires tho.

 

My 2000 has 161189 on. I think its going g to get rebuilt soon though

 

My '89 has 168,563. Not a lot for her age.

 

94 with 238k nothing major just upgrades!

'95 Sport in New England (lots of rot lol) 195,000 miles 200k by next oil change. all miles either towing the boat or sleds, road trips to VT in the winter, and daily driver 2 blocks down the road, which is hard on a vehicle, especially in the cold.
water pump and radiator, alternator, starter, lots of rotted mufflers and no floor left in the front.
other than that, just regular maintenance.
