So, like the title says, I might be buying an XJ tomorrow! I'm so stoked. I've been searching for the right one off and on (mostly on) for the last three years now. Anyway, to the details:
it's a '96 two-door, five-speed 4x4 with 180,000 miles. It's purple (never knew they made them in purple). The people who own it have only had for six months. They are the second owners. Selling due to price of gas. They bought it from the original owner, who kept it in a garage. It is 99% RUST FREE
it's mildly lifted (2" max). There's a custom exhaust which looks and sounds great, and a Spectre CAI. I honestly couldn't find anything wrong with it.

Anyway, what do you guys think? Good find? Kudos? Nays? Throw it at me.

Oh, and they were asking 2000 for it. I offered 1600 and I'm waiting on a call back about it.

 

Hell yeah for 2k I'd take it. Maybe even 1750

 

Go look at it again. Check the exhaust manifold for cracks. Check for oil leaks. Look at it front to back, every inch of it and find little things that you're gunna have to fix so you can talk the price down
