What has happened to mickey Thompsons Sidewall Tread? I have a tire they made from about 10 years ago compared to a tire they made about 5 years ago and then one that is of recent production. The side tread is vanishing. I liked the aggressive looks as well as added traction and the extra protection from rock cuts.

 

Aggressive sidewalls are known for extreme road noise and the dreaded rumbling slow down to a stop . I’d say the majority of their customers are highway drivers not rock crawlers .
