Mickey Thompson MTX
Hey everyone, im lookin for some new tires at some point. Im leaning more towards all terrains this time for tread life, noise, gas milage, and price. I have a winch and in my experience most of the time if your gonna get stuck your gonna get stuck, I know my trucks capabilities and know what to look out for. Thus, I'm lookin for some simple all terrains.
1st, theres the BFG ATs. Awesome tires, everyone loves them, great on every terrain, good tread, blah blah blah.
2nd, heres the competition. Mickey Thompson Baja MTX. I think they have similar rubber composition as all-season tires, I think they just have aggressive offroad tread.
I might buy these because of tread wear, handling, drivability, fuel economy, noise and all that stuff, but theyre a little more capable than all terrains - or are they? I've heard theyre the "quietest mud tire you can buy"... but are they calssified as an MT or an AT? Im not sure. How do they rank between MTs and ATs? I think ATs might have softer tread but Im not sure.... Annnnyway, tell me anythink you know about these mysterious tires!!!

if your looking for a good road tire the BFG AT will be your best bet hands down. if your looking for a tire that will be good in both off roading situations and on road driving then i would also look into the Cooper STT's.
