maxxis bighorns!
So for you guys that run them do you like them? I am looking at getting a set in the 35 inch flavor! I work at a tire shop and I can get 5 tires and wheels for 1259.01 out the door! I don't think thats to bad of a price! I am just hopeing that they will fit with my 5 inchs of lift and bw cutouts! also if you have them can you post up pics of them they don't have to be 35s thanks!

35's on 5" of lift will be a veryy tight fit, lots of trimming. They're really good quality, nice looking tires. I'd love to get a set, but they wear very quickly.

My buddy runs em and he loves them. He striped a couple teeth on his front ring gear so half the time hes in 2wd and he still does great. There good tire from what ive seen.

I don't really notice significant road noise from them. I've only had them for 13,000 miles so I can't really comment on how long they will last.

I got 31" Bighorns on mine. Even though i bought em used, going down the road, they are as smooth as a baby fresh nug. The local tire shop owner says Maxxis Bighorns and Buckshots balance out better then most of his street radial tires. Also around 5"s of lift and 35"s will work killer. This is mine, stock, trimmed with the 31"s.. My fenders are trimmed for 35"s inwhich once i lift it, it will only be around 4.5 to 5"s tops with 35"s.

I have a buddy who had them on his Wrangler rock crawler. He put 30,000 miles on them and there was still some good tread on all 4. But they sucked really bad in the mud. My stock xj on 31" Mastercraft's did better and he had 35" bighorns with his lockers engaged. They just didn't clean very good at all. But that is a good price so I would get them.

If i were you, id get 8" wide wheels with 3.75 backspacing. I run 7" wide wheels on basically every 12.50 tire ive ever owned with no problems of ballooning or the tire wearing funny. Being a 13.50 id bump to an 8"... A 10" is just too much and if you air down, it easily lets the tire break the bead.

I put a set of Buckshots on my dad's Ram in Dec 04 as a christmas gift. They just finally wore out this past summer. He puts around 10,000 a year on the truck. Had roughly 47,000 on them. He didn't take them offroad but as a snowplow driver he has to be able to get to work in some nasty weather. Truck never missed a beat getting him back and forth to work with the Buckshots on. Hopefully they do that good for you.

I've got 31's and they have held up very well. I have already put a hole in a sidewall though but I had that coming with the jagged rocks I was rolling over. They are slightly loud heading down the road but with the windows up you can't hear much. I've got about 7000 miles on them now and still have roughly 60% thread left. They also do very well clearing out mud and dirt on wet trails and I have yet to get myself stuck.
