So I just bought a 94 cherokee that has a 4" lift kit on it already.. When I contacted my insurance (Ameriprise) to switch the coverage from my truck that I sold to put it on the cherokee. They told me that they do not cover vehicles that are lifted higher than three inches.. -.- the only way they check is by picture. So I need to lower the vehicle to 3" or under. Take a picture and send it to them. Then I can put it back to 4"..

So how am i going to go about this? Any ideas? I can post pics tomorrow of the suspension and all that so you can see what I have to deal with.. Any advice is helpful.

I would just say switch insurance companies. I have AllState. And they don't care about my jeep being lifted. Hell even my Insurance Agent and his whole family has Lifted Jeeps. Lol.

Your insurance company sounds like the will drop you any chance they can get, first wreck you get into and they will come up with some excuse on why they won't cover you and pay for the damages you've caused.

So you think they have an xj guru there thats gonna say.. **** NO THATS NOT 3 INCHES OF LIFT!

I dont think so.
Tell them its 3.
They will get over it.

My advice would be to change your insurance co. Ive never heard of such bs

Yeah I'm thinking about switching. Gonna get quotes and all that after work today. It's really dumb that they would have a problem with it when all the other companies don't care. Thanks for the help guys.

Just find a pic online of the same looking Cherokee, I did this for a project I had to so and I had no stock pics so I googled it

no one ever knew

good grades driving classes should help bring the cost down.

I think you insurance company or agent has a bronco or k5...
Ive never had them ask anything.
That be like insurance companys asking if a Honda or mustang has a turbo or supercharger.

Or knowin it was " lift" spelled wrong..

Send them a pic of it next to a curb and have all the cars around the curb on the curb to give that illusion that it's actually lower than it really is

Lol I ratcheted it down yesterday and took a pic and sent it to then. We will see what happens. I've begun getting quotes for other insurance companies also.
