Default Lund visor and LED bar?

Just scored a nice XJ lund visor for $30. I just spent some time searching for a picture of a Cherokee with a visor and also a lightbar. That's the look I'm going for but I didn't find a single picture of it.

Anybody ever seen it done? I imagine most mounts wouldn't work right, it might require custom mounts to be made.

http://www.inspired-engineering.com/...Code=IE-v2xj50 mounts to the gutters and you can move it back anywhere you want. Some goes for http://hooliganoffroad.com/products/...al-light-mount And http://www.farmerjohnsonoffroad.com/...-bar-brackets/ and if you look at the pictures the blue one has both.

The guy didn't know what he had at all! He was also selling a running chopped XJ for $200..

As far as the mounts go, I'm not super crazy about any of those. Especially the price on those hooligan ones. I want the bar to sit as flush to the roof as possible. I'll probably end up making my own, or making a rack and incorporating the mount into it. I should have some shop time here at school in the upcoming months so if I'm lucky I'll be able to weld up a rack.

Im working on creating my own visor with the LED bar underneath and a boot going from the bottom of the bar and to the windshield to reduce glare. i guess with your lund you could find a way to make a similar boot?

I can vouch for the Inspired Engineering light bar mounts. My favorite by far. I've tried ALL of them.

Here is my setup:

Mount is directly through the roof and visor, mine is just bolted to the roof with the stock mounts and it sits like a 1/4" off my roof

only pic i have on my work computer(The purple one)

I do really like those inspired engineering mounts, and also yours purple. Those look simple and sleek. The visor covers part of the gutter in the front so I would probably have to mount it slightly farther back. I like the idea of the visor covering hood glare though. I would ideally like to mount the bar far enough forward so the shadow starts right at the tip of the hood.

Today I was also throwing around the idea of going with led pods on the pillars. I've seen the inspired engineering mirror mounts you had guy. Any particular reason you ended up getting rid of them? I like the idea of having them there. I was also thinking about trying to cut a hole in the mirror and mounting them so they're partially in the mirror.

If you run a spot only led bar not a combo spot flood you shouldn't have hood glare that bad.

Hood glare isn't really a problem for me. I have the all-spot pattern now, but I always had the flood/spot combo ones. I've always been able to aim it just right.
