Default Lug pattern on a "'99" Grand?

All info I've founf indicates the '99 had the 5 on 5″ lug pattern. But the 99's were actually made in '98 . . . so what do you think? 4.5" or 5" on a '99?
I'm looking at a Grand on eBay, and I have 4.5 rims I'll want to use and don't want to get a car that they would not fit on. The seller is a dealership and uncooperative . . . and stupid I think.

Yeah the wj body was 5x5 lug pattern,And most cars and trucks are made 6 months to a year before they ever sold.Ford here retools every July for the next years models. It takes about 2 weeks and they start making next years cars this year.

One little bit of advice don't buy a Jeep to fit your wheel as they are the cheapest part of a deal.

I have an XJ and a WJ the WJ is the same body style as the 99 your looking at its an 04 Overland edition and are the top of the Jeep line and has every option. I use it as a DD and a tow rig for my XJ a 99 Sport. You have a much larger tire/wheel choices with the WJ because of the 5x5 pattern. Plus the WJ had V-8's as well as 4.0 engines in them where the XJ only had a 4 and 6 cyd. engine.

Here are the 2 body styles one modified a lot the other still stock.

Unless you got some high dollar beadlock rims i would just sell them,Or if you have a brand new set of 35s on them i would just change the rims if i could.

Either way they would be easy to sell and buy others.
