Well I have been in search for info on this subject for quite some time and finally decided it was the way to go so my question is I have found a 2002 Chevy silverado 2500 with the 6.0. Make the 4l88 tranny and its rolled they said that they would sell me a complete pull out for 2500 (motor trans tcase and all wiring and computers that go with). So is this a good price??? Cause I really really wanna do the 6.0 ls cause quite honestly iv never seen it and it'd be sweet, but is there a reaSon I haven't seen it done in an xj??

The 4l80 won't fit without cutting the tunnel and firewall.

 

Frankz has one.....also search on pirate4x4.com. there are a few guys running the 6.0L in their xjs

Alright well the tranny is out then my other option was just buying the motor and running a manual which would be the best in my eyes since I miss driving one everyday! So I have read that the computers from an automatic won't work with a manual is this the case?

Correct. You'll need to source a PCM from a manual tranny equipped donor.
