Question lower quarter panel cut.

im cutting my lower quarters. the part behind the tire. anyone do a write-up. im letting my sawzall battery charge and im wondering how everyone else does it...

cutting wheel rather than a sawzall. More control, cleaner cuts. You'll need to weld in a piece of plate to join the outer quarter back with the inner body.

i was gonna fold... easier just to spot weld in new panel and seam seal?

See qtr panel cut link in my sig line.
I cut front out, left inner panel long and then folded flat and welded back together.

wow, thanks! mine was too rusted to go that exact and pretty route. but i got 2 more cuts to make. i folded it all but im gonna put a plate on the bottom to clean it up.

I used a sawzall and a speedy cut wheel and cut it out completely due to it being damaged. I used some 16 gauge and bent it up and screwed it in place and sealed with some seam sealer.

right. im basically doin that.saved as much as i could. my sawzall skills are pretty good.

the original owner cut and folded the rear wheelwell and ****ed it all up so im doin an entire overhaul...

I did it as well, pics in my build thread.

A sawzall will make some parts easier.

I did this along with a mini tub of the rear wells. Looks goot! VERY VERY GOOT
