You can also use a start washer on the body side of the ring connector. It bites into the metal securing a good connection. I didn't use them cuz I didn't have any on hand.

I will get some. I was wondering how I was going to sand where they made contact only and not have any exposed metal around them. Thanks.

I sanded the area where my ground is making contact, but I'm in so cal so I'm not really worried about rust all that much.

When I dryfit my mounting bracket I left it on over night so I could see how it looked all day and in the morning. It was not painted. In the morning it was covered with rust. Now its been grinded, sanded and painted. I'll post a pic tomorrow, its lookin good!

After you make you ground connections you could throw some spray paint to cover it all up.

Good call. I will mount the bracket tomorrow. I ordered a 5' firestik and an 18' fire wire should be here by Thursday. Can't wait.
