Default looking at buying another cherokee?

I'm gonna buy another cherokee to build,.. because im tired of my 96 (Not fond of older bodystyle) 5spd classic. Im gonna pull off all my aftermarket parts and put my 96 back to stock and then sell it. So far I've only found (2) Cherokee's in my price range, ....

(1) is a 99 Cherokee Classic

http://winchester.craigslist.org/ctd/2849609689.html

(2) is a 2000 Cherokee Sport

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/m...855684153.html

Tell me what you think? Which would you choose?

UPDATE........UPDATE.......UPDATE......

I found a 3rd cherokee.

This one is a 98 Cherokee Limited

http://richmond.craigslist.org/ctd/2863710664.html

Now which would you consider buying? I like all 3 and can't decide. I guess I'll have to go and look at all 3 in person and then see which is in the best shape. To better make my decision.

Well the 00-01's heads are prone to cracking if they have the 0331 head. Just something to consider.

Personally i like the 99. I like the all white. Will look great with some black rockers and bumpers. You should see what rear axles/ transfer cases they have. Deffently go for a 8.25 and np231. Also i think some of the 00-01's had low pinion D30. I would stay with a high pinion D30.

I actually already have (2) spare axels,... a rear dana 44 with locker and 4:10 gears and a front HP Dana 30 that is also locked with 4:10 gears. So which ever one I end up with the axels are being pulled and swapped out anyway. And I do believe both are the NP231,...I had both people send me pictures of the interior and when looking at the pictures of interior on both cherokee's you can make out the shift layout on the console they both say 2H---4H---N---4L so i'm pretty sure they are both NP231. I Love Silver that's always been my favorite color on a vehicle but I am also really liking the all white color too. And like you said I think the all white would look really good with some black accents, ..like wheels and Bumpers and rock sliders. Man Decisions,..Decisions,....Decisions.

The 2000 because I love that color.

When you buy it make sure you tell the guy you plan to take this thing completely apart, throw away half of what makes it 'nice' and put big desructive mud tires on it.

Then watch his face.

I wouldn't mind finding a nice late model for myself.

I need a truck tho.

I made an update to the first post I made for this thread. I found a 3rd cherokee and now have another decision on which to buy. Man I hate making decisions. I like all 3 colors and they all look to be in pretty decent shape from the photos I was provided of them. But all 3 are in completely opposite directions of one another. It would take all day and lots of gas and driving to go look at all 3.

Well the 98 has less miles. But its black so you cant accent it as eseally. But it will make oranges and greens stick out more. Im doing orange accents on my black 97 and they really stick out. Its all up to you in the end. I still like the all white though.

This isn't going to be a strictly trail rig. It will be my daily driver / weekend warrior. So I like nice shiny paint, when im just cruising town. But when I go offroad I do get it dirty and don't really mind put some scratches and nicks on it hear and there. But when I get home from wheeling I do wash it up and get it all shiny again. Plus keeping it washed after a weekends worth of wheeling helps keep the rust at bay.

Ya that's the one I've been leaning more toward making the drive to go look at. I have cash so which ever one looks and drives the best with very few problems,.. hoping no problems at all. I will be driving home with me. I just wish they were alot closer that way I could look at,... and drive all three. But im afraid if I go look at one and then another and then the other to make my decision. The one I end up choosing could get sold while im out looking at one of the other ones.
