ok guys, went together in about half an hour, up and running. very very easy to swap in and comes with directions on how to set the tps correctly. well machined with rounded edges and the throttle plate is knife edged on the leading edges to smooth airflow around the leading edges. definitely worth the money. came cleaned and very quickly, i ordered it sunday afternoon and it showed up today with the directions and packaged in those air baggie things so as not to get dinged up.

anyway onto the pictures....

stock and the one from stroked jeep

with a tape to show differences and the intake diameter also

started on the first try and idled better. the idle is probably from the tps being readjusted or something though as the idle air valve is the same one. it sounds a lot better, kind of like when you put an open filter on instead of the airbox, more roar.

it accelerates easier. not sure if its faster as i never did any type of acceleration tests or anything but it takes less pedal to get it moving. once moving, it takes less pedal to make speed corrections also. when entering the highway, it definitely feels quicker and i didn't run out of ramp to get to highway speeds like the cherokee did previously. it likes to accelerate with the bigger tires now so i imagine if one did some regearing to the 4.1 or 4.5 gears and this tb swap, you could probably smoke the tires a bit. and this is on a renix era 4.0.

anyways, i think it was worth the money and we shall see if mileage increases (once i stop flooring it to take off since it feels faster)

oh yes, it was 149 shipped. 90 for the part, 50 for the core (which gets refunded), and 9 for shipping

noise? like what do you mean? it has a louder roar on acceleration but nothing annoying. it sounds like a cone filter or when you mod your filter box.

i really notice that it takes alot less pedal to do anything. on the way to work this morning, i only had to rest my foot on the pedal lightly to keep speed on base.

ohhhhhhhh, no, no whistle that i can hear. is that normal on the other bored throttle bodies? i have stock everything, minus that body though so stock intake hose, stock box, stock filter, nothing that would let air in from odd angles

it takes less room to get to highway speeds and less pedal when driving in traffic to do stuff. i have no dyno for the stock stuff but if i am ever over on the side of town that there is supposedly a dyno, i could probably try it out.

i think its worth it though, my jeep was so blah to drive with the 31s and stock gears. it was slow and no "fun" to cruise. now, i like to drive it because it accelerates nicely and feels like the 95 sport we used to have or the liberty we also have now. it actually keeps up with stuff from the light so when i get the 4.1 gears, it should be able to break the tires free

I have heard they can whistle but this one is not supposed too. Im thinking about picking one up, did you call him up?

I have done intake and exhaust so this might be an nice addition to the mix.
