i will, i always am doing the mpg math when i fill up and when i get to each quarter i rough it in by guestimating the amount of gallons per quarter from the last fill up

Did the same modification. With the very same guy. Nice power increase but no MPG increase. I also got a freer flowering mufler. Once again a few Horsies but no MPG. Next step is injectors. Maybe you'll have better MPG results.

i think its worth it though, my jeep was so blah to drive with the 31s and stock gears. it was slow and no "fun" to cruise. now, i like to drive it because it accelerates nicely and feels like the 95 sport we used to have or the liberty we also have now. it actually keeps up with stuff from the light so when i get the 4.1 gears, it should be able to break the tires free

it takes less room to get to highway speeds and less pedal when driving in traffic to do stuff. i have no dyno for the stock stuff but if i am ever over on the side of town that there is supposedly a dyno, i could probably try it out.i think its worth it though, my jeep was so blah to drive with the 31s and stock gears. it was slow and no "fun" to cruise. now, i like to drive it because it accelerates nicely and feels like the 95 sport we used to have or the liberty we also have now. it actually keeps up with stuff from the light so when i get the 4.1 gears, it should be able to break the tires free

oh, also!!! from a stop and flooring it to get hte heck out of the way of an oncoming big truck, i can make the tires growl. i would say smoke them but they make a cool low roaring growl because of how wide they are. like roooooaaaaar. my youngest son thought it was cool sounding. never really tried it but since this was an emergency situation, i stomped it to the ground.

is this like plug n play for the i6, or is there anything else that i would need? and what is that core thing that costs an extra 70$ on his site?

yeah, Jeff has good customer support. mine sticks a bit when it gets really hot. but that's not a big deal at all. although i have never heard it to roar like a cone filter or whistle. frankly mine didn't change the noise at all.

yeah youd need a cone filter and tube to really hear the whistle. i put my stock intake back on in prep for making a cowl induction and the whistle is pretty much gone now.Originally Posted by Tural

the core is the cost of replacing the unit if you don't send yours back to him. once you send your stock unit back to him, he will refund your core charge.
it is plug and play

i think i had rolling resistance that i worked out at hte same time as i did a little brake work. it could be that i "get into it" alot less though too because it takes off so much better. i used to have to really give it some gas to get rolling with the 31s, now i just take off really easily.
i am getting 180 to 200 miles a tank now versus 150ish. this jeep has had a brake problem till recently so that bad gas mileage previously could be attributed to the brakes as i think they were dragging. they never overheated but it felt weird. now, it feels fine.
all i know is the fun factor in driving is worth the cost of the part. if you get better mileage, hey its a plus. if it stays the same, oh well, at least you drive smiling every where now

wow dude, that's still pretty low. the lowest i've had from one tank was 288 miles. might wanna see what else is robbing horsepower.Originally Posted by superj
