So I had an ad on craigslist to trade my mud tires for some more pavement friendly tires. Some guy called me today and said he had a set of "long trails" he would bring over tomorrow for me to look at. No idea what they are. Anyone use these or have any opinions on them?
They are a BFG long trail A T. They are a basically a somewhere between street and all-terrain ... Supposedly they last a long time if properly inflated, balanced, and rototated.(60k)

I ran a set of 215/75/15 long trails on my XJ for a couple of months last fall. They were alright, but they look nowhere close to an offroad tire and almost look like they belong on a passenger car rather than a Jeep.
They did so/so in the mud, I had to put it in 4wd a few times driving down a muddy dirt road to keep my front end from sliding around going uphill.
They're great on the road, but nowhere near the offroad performance of the BFG A/Ts I have now. I would run them again just for the gas mileage on the road though.
