Default Logans metal 4x4 bumpers?

Did a search on here and found an old post raving about how bad the service of this company was. That was an old post from a few years ago and wondered if anyone has done any business with them recently and if things have gotten better or do they still have terrible service?

I bought mine two years ago took forever to get it but it's a nice bumper and it has held up well to the abuse I give it

Look around the vendors market on here see if you find something you like better.

I have done a good bit of looking and I really like his design and with the price being under $400 shipped to my door its a good price. I just cant seem to find anything other than the Detours Backbone for that price range. I know Rough Country has one for about that price but I really dont like the offset winch mount. Any reason why they would make it offset like that? Or anyone know where I can get a winch bumper for my 2000 XJ for around $400?

$285 to my door for the bumper. Hoops were like $60 when I picked them up separately and welded them on. Rough country's hang down too low for me.

I know, I saw those and I would kill to get one of those from him. They are my absolute favorite out of all the ones I found. It broke my heart to scroll down and find out he wasn't making them anymore.

It hangs down a little lower than I'd like, but for the money I'm not complaining. Hell it's 3/16, it's held up to banging into rocks, concrete pipes, street signs, mowing down trees, everything.

I found this guy on a number of forums and really like the minimalistic design, and super cheap price. Best approach angle of any XJ winch bumper that I have found. http://www.orsfab.com/bumpers.html
He's a Cherokeeforum member too.

dirtboundoffroad.com has two cheaper winch bumpers no clue on shipping. http://www.protofab4x4.com/products.php?ID=05 has a few in the 400 to 500 range.

Just wanted to add to this thread. I just picked a non winch bumper up from logans metal and I couldn't be happier with it. I live local so shipping wasn't an issue, I just drove up to get it. After being there I could see why people have shipping issues, it was just a woman and older guy working, she was the one I spoke with when I called and she was welding and fabricating. Small not very organized shop but a very good quality bumper.

She has a few kids working for her. I'm assuming its her and her husband. I've made three transactions with her, meeting her locally every time for a total of 4 bumpers. Had a problem with the quality of my rear bumper and she forgot the brackets but they took care of it and shipped me the brackets. Got my front winch bumper, and rear bumper with hitch for $600 on a special.

Idk about long distance, but I recommend them to anyone and everyone local.

I've got one of their non-winch bumpers sitting in my living room (it will go on as soon as it warms up, not having a garage sucks). Very good quality, especially for the money (I only paid $160 for it on sale). 3/16" steel shell, 1/4" brackets/frame tie-ins, 3/4" D-ring mounts that are welded directly to the mounting brackets/gussets as well as the shell

I had mine shipped, being in central PA I could have picked it up, but it would have cost me as much in gas as I paid for shipping (they are out near Pittsburg).

I can't really complain too much about the customer service. They did initially mess up the shipping on my order (they mixed it up with another order and thought they had shipped it but hadn't) but they discovered their error and corrected it (they contacted me to explain the situation and apologized for the delay). I got my bumper a few days after it was actually shipped (once they had discovered their mistake) and about two weeks after ordering.

excuse the crappy paint job, it is getting bed-lined before I put it on but I just hit it with some rust-oleum (brush-on, since it is too cold to paint outdoors and I don't have anywhere inside that is ventilated well-enough to use spray) for now to keep the bear metal from rusting.

I bought their ZJ bumper last month. Granted it was during the bad snow storm where everyone got hit, and with them in PA, they got hit hard. They responded right away when I purchased it to get all the info needed, then didn't talk much for the week after, then a few days after that I got the shipping notification and the bumper later that week. Kinda had to keep calling them to nudge them.. but I got it. They forgot the brackets but got in touch with me confirming they're for me and shipped them out via express or something fast.

Bumper is beefy for sure, though.
