Default Local news covered Death Wobble! ... kinda

this was on my local news: http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?sec...eam&id=8547340
I don't know if anyone caught this but I thought this would be great when I saw the preview and was promptly disappointed, they treat it like it is an absolute mystery when I found out more information on death wobble in an hour of searching than what a professional news organization could put together.
I am pretty sure they just googled it and clicked the first link "kevin's offroad" nothing against them its just the first result when you search and that is all they mention in the report. What do the rest of you think about this? and Enjoy.

Total junk journalism. I like how they act like this is a Jeep only problem. Never had dw issues with my Jeep, but have it with one of my Fords currently. You would think their "chief investigative reporter" Dan Noyes would have done some better investigating.

Great research, says the problem also effects '84-'04 jeep cherokee & '93-'98 jeep grand cherokee.

wow what a bunch of stupid people, 90% of the 70% of jeep drivers who actually modify their jeeps never see DW especally stock, its not a manyfacture problem, whatever shop worked on it last probibly left something loose or any number of problems, also, howabout insted of harassing jeep they harass 4x4 shops that make the products that we all know and love while they are at it, and i know this isnt only a jeep problem, so why did i see the name jeep used so much? i mean really jeepjeepjeepjeepjeepjeepjeepjeepjeepjeepjeepjeepje epjeep

ps. 75% of statistics are made up on the spot lol

Had the problem in my Dad's 64 IH Scout. A steering stabilizer shock cured that problem. My XJ doesn't seem to have it.

That "violent shacking" in this clip is nothing like my violent shacking used to be. Mine was waaay better hahaha. On the other hand I would be pissed if I got this on a new Wrangler that cost me 35k or maybe more, or any other car which they didnt bother to cover. These people (if they are real) deserve to get this fixed, or if they cant they should get reimbursed for the car. If it happens on a 2007 with 27k on it the dealership NEEDS to fix it, period. I know the journalism is rubbish but DW on a newish stock Jeep is unacceptable.

Your going to wish you never said that. Wait until people start tearing you a new one with this "steering stabilizer is not a cure it just masks the real problem" stuff we hear all the time.
