Default to line or not to line

I'm not sure if this the forum for this, but here goes...I saw a rig the other day with, what looked like, rhino lining on the roof. Made sense and looked good. So I thought of doing it to the entire rig. My paint is old and doesn't look good any more. A buddy told me that the bed of his toyota was done by Line-x. Does any one know what the difference is? and will the liner make my rig run hotter?
Thanks for any input.

A while back i saw a cj fully painted in bed liner (dont know what kind) and it looked sick. He mixed red paint with it. currently my rear panels are lined and i plan on doing the front fenders definitely and mabey the roof too. As to the difference of them i have no clue and i dont know if it would make it run hotter? I think it would definitely make the inside hotter if you used black liner.

I have my xj Bed-lined. Don't know what kind, I bought it like that. The floors have no carpet just liner, and the entire body is lined. The only issue i have is that it's harder to wash. Gotta really scrub to get and and mud off of the sides.

I would suggest U-pol Raptor liner, it's very user friendly. It is a 2 part system, and the ratios are already measured out. It comes out really well, with a hard finish and not spikey and rough. TP tools sells a kit complete with the spray gun for about $100, thats where i got mine. It comes in black or tint-able.

Well, I thought this one would be easy, but i just gave myself a whole new batch of questions...lol...I'm new to body and paint work, so I apologize for what might seem like noob questions. Does any one know what type of paint to mix in? Do I have to sand and prime before I put the liner on? When I put it on, do I need a sealed room or is this something that I can do in my yard (I don't have a garage or carport)? I appreciate your input and patience. thanks

Its a jeep, dude. Nobody does that here. Spray and go! Simple.

Oh and you don't mix in paint, you mix in color pigment. The supplier will have to do that for you,...but again, its a Jeep, so "whatever color is in the can" is always an option.

I can give you a response regarding the U-pol raptor liner...if you even want it.

For prep work, I washed the area, sanded it once over with rough grit sand paper (60 or 80 grit, i can't remember), then washed/wiped it down, masked the parts i didn't want painted, and started spraying. You can definitely do it in your yard, there's not a whole lot of overspray with the raptor liner, but if you wanna be safe, be away from things you dont want black dots on. Don't worry about priming, and with the tint-able raptor liner, i believe you mix in urethane paint.
