I'm sitting on about $800 and don't know if I want to buy tires, bumpers, and beef up my driveline now or later. What would you guys do?

My vote is for a bb and lunchbox lockers. Plus, you can always look for good condition used parts! What diffs do you have?

What do you want to do with your rig? Rock crawling, trail riding, or mudding?

Well down here in Florida we don't have much rock crawling to be done. So I'll be doing a lot of trail riding and this will also be my DD. However, I'm going to school in Massachusetts and don't know what I'll encounter up there.

How big are you gonna go?
I say buy a different rear axle and keep saving to get gears locker and tires
Lift it last

I'm going to start at 4.5" and then go 6.5" eventually, but never going bigger than 33s

I wouldn't waste any money on that d35! See if you can find a 29 spline C8.25, or a d44. If not, don't go bigger then 32's and open on that d35.

Then why would you need to go 6.5?
4.5 on 33's is perfect
That Dana 35 has gotta be the first thing to go

I've been really tough on my 99 with a 35 and it's held up great. I've run 32's on it and beat it pretty heavy before and it's never given me any problems. If it's primarily a dd I wouldn't worry about an axle swap.

Mine is popping and creaking from 31's and hard wheeling. That is why I am going hd hp d44 front, and d60 rear. That is a little overkill, but I want to be able to hammer on it if I have to!
