Default Lift kit recommendations

I am hoping to buy a lift for my 95 xj. I most likely will take this thing off road less than twice a year. I dont want anything to extreme just something to raise it up and make it look better. I will be pulling a boat occasionally. The rear springs are not very good at all but I dont think I have the money for new ones. Would i be ok with a AAL with the boat or should I save up for springs?

It's always a good idea to get new springs. Not only if you're towing. Personally I don't like AAL kits at all.

EDIT: are you thinking like a 3" kit?

I would not get AAL if you are going to be pulling a boat.

Picked up 3inch procomp brand new shocks included off CL $200 went with full leaf packs from rough country $200, wheels an like new pirelli scorpion tires from CL $400. The lift fits what I was looking for and its use.

I would recommend the 3.5" Rubicon Express Super-Ride lift. Then just get some hydro shocks from RC and call it good. You may need a t case drop or a sye with it though. I did and I havnt looked back since I got mine.

RE is good stuff.

I like the rustys coils better though. softer. better flex, and better ride. Not sure how their rear leafs are though.
