Ah. Rough countrys ride sucks big time. I ran rc 3in and a rustys 3in and was a lot happier with rustys. I understand your broke....im a full time college student with a new house and a baby....
Save your pennies and buy something decent. I pieced together a 4.5" re kit with superflex arms and I'm happy. I say you wait an extra month or 2 and buy RE. But if your gonna stay with a cheaper lift i vote rusty's over rc

Ill second the save your money and buy something nice thats worth buying. Im also in college and have been building up my parts supply for over a year now, i cant afford to dump so much money on a lift all at once and i wont settle for a cheapo like rough country. I have personally driven Xjs with both 4.5 and 6.5 inch rc lifts and hated them both, the shocks suck, leaf packs are complete junk, and they seem obsessed with taking shortcuts such as a t case drop rather than shimming the rear. Im sure im going to get flamed by the rc fanatics but im just saying my personal experience

Just so there is no confusion...lol.
my rc 3" leafs had shims.

As far as ride, it is alittle stiff. but i only have about 50 miles on the lift so i'm sure. its not even close to being broke in. I dont think it will change much.

Other manufacturers will ride better and it took me 18 months to piece mine together too. My lift is primarily RC. my front coils; i think are IRO...not sure. MY c/a's are IRO too. But my shocks, leafs, budget boost and trac-bar are all RC.

Its not a caddy. I like the truck ride anyway. but i dont dd drive mine anymore. So buy what you can afford, but i also agree save as much as you can,for as long as you stand to stay stock. then decide on who to buy.

IRO does come standard with RC shocks. I pieced together a short arm RE 4.5" lift with Rustys shocks for now till I can afford 7100s. Entire kit was under a grand... More like 800
