Got the lights in the housings finally. Going to install them tomorrow. I have the converter and have to pickup an electronic flasher. I'm just going to go to an autopart store and I guess get one for my year/model?

Also, I'm searching now, but does anyone have a more detailed installation guide? One of my friends did his conversion over the weekend and had a real tough time with wiring. He didn't use a converter, but ended up having to get a flasher.

Cheers

That doesn't say I have to butt connect any wires or anything. Just that I need a converter and a turn/hazard flasher relay. Is it really that simple of an installation?

Like I mentioned earlier, a friend of mine ended up having to add a small 2'' light to act as a turn signal since he couldn't wire it up all to one light.

I'm also confused how my lights connect to the converter. The light has a ground, a red, and a black wire coming off it. They plug into the stop/turn and brake ports on the light. But how do I wire up the reverse light?

Yes, you need to butt connect the wires.

Splice the convertor inline with the wiring harness under the rear drivers side panel. Then go back to the lights and splice the pigtails into the factory harness. The backup lights have nothing to do with the convertor. The convertor is for the turns signals, stop lamps, and markers.

Everything is pretty much setup, except my turn signals are on my white/reverse lights. I was a bit confused with the converter, so I spliced and butt connected the wires and pretty much got it. But when I would turn one of my signals on, it'd blink, but so would the other side (the top side of the light, not the other signal). Since this works, I'm debating on getting some amber spray, spraying the white lights, then getting another light for my reverse. I like these a lot though!

I'm working on LEDs for my Jeep, but they'll all be plug-in bulbs with the factory housings. I'm putting in an electronic relay, and some of those eBay bulbs. I've done my entire interior so far, and I'm about to do all my exterior lights. In total I have about $50 in bulbs.

I'll show some pictures when they're finished .

You could rewire the turn signals or add some reverse lights to the hatch around the license plate sides.Hit the junkyard look for olds and caddy some models had reverse lights not made in the tail lights you could use.

Well I wanted the turns to be on the top red lights, but when I would turn one of my signals on, the other light would blink as well. lol
