Default LED Pod Placement

So I received x4 LED pods (flood pattern) as a Christmas gift and I have yet to install them. I was originally going to get a roof rack and put one pod on each end of the rack and have them point in different directions (kind of like 360 degree lighting) but I think that might be a bit overkill, plus I just lifted the Jeep so before I buy a rack I gotta buy tires. Rough country sells a lower windshield bracket for these style pods but I'm not sure if that location would be good for a flood pattern, and then where would I mount the other two?

If anyone has any thoughts/ideas/examples it would be greatly appreciated. Pics below of the light and bracket.

I night wheel almost as frequently as I day wheel.

Thanks!
Jake

Lol that's awesome. But $135 is a bit steep. The lights aren't top end, just ones off amazon, I think k all 4 lights total cost was maybe 100 so 135 for a bracket is a bit much, good find tho! Reverse lights suck on the xj maybe I should have 2 of them in the rear with a toggle?

I love my mounting location using Inspired Engineering's brackets:

Best of all, they require no drilling. You just have to remove a mirror and sandwich the mount in between the mirror and the door using the existing bolts. They're only $44.99.

These are spot.

Since newer 97+ mirrors are a direct swap onto older Cherokees, I don't see why these wouldn't work with older Cherokees.

Good point! I didn't think of that, I wonder how a flood would look there. Wish I got 2 flood and 2 spot Instead of 4 flood. Gonna have to run some wire and test it out I spose

It looks like he wired it straight into the door jamb, probably into the dust boot, then into the cabin.

From there, ideally you would just mount a relay and switch for the lights.

Although - I have always been curious about the Inspired Engineering brackets. My 33 x 12.5 tires stick out pretty far and kick up tons of mud onto the mirrors - I assume the lights would also get equally covered in mud.

The A-pillar is a bit more shielded from tire fling and IMO is a better spot to mount some spot-lights.

Although the best is still just a good quality ~24" light bar mounted to the front bumper, or some HID off-road lights (cant beat em for light output, they seem way brighter than LED light bars).
