Default LED light bar mounting

I I just got a 40" led lightbar and now I need to mount it but, I don't really feel like spending $150 for a prefabbed mount and I don't need anything fancy, just somethin to get the job done so any mounting ideas are much appreciated! Thanks!

Unless I'm mistaken this belongs in Cherokee Chat. Someone is going to read the thread title and assume you found a new method.

oh ok my bad sorry guys. So is it moved now or do I need to do something to move it? And anyways, I will post some pics later today when I get a chance, but it is a 40" bar that I'm hoping to mount using the rain gutters since I have a 2000 with short roof rails and I'm hoping to mount it about 6 or so inches back from the windshield to hopefully avoid glare off the hood. Thanks, and happy Fourth of July y'all!!

Def when you post pics well get a better idea. My question to you. Can you weld? Gutter mounts arnt hard to make and some don't even need welding, just a drill press. Id have to measure the roof to get a better picture but after you make gutter mounts, just need a flat piece with a 90° angle which the light would mount too. Again, after seeing the sides of your light, it'll be eAsier to say

u can drill thru the gutters, set a piece of angle iron on the top, use some tubes for spacers and screw into the angle iron from under the gutter. would be a good idea to touch up around the holes with a little bedliner or undercoating.

Also, after you make the mounts, just get some square tube and weld to the mounts. Then drill light bar to the tubing. You Can easily get this done in a short afternoon
