Default Kumho KL71 or BFG KM2's / Which one to get!

Buying tires again in a 32x11.50x15. My MTZ's were to big. Had to take them back. Either the Kumhos or the BFG's km2's. Which one should I get. Its a daily driver and weekend warrior. Both have great reviews. I'm wanting something decent on the road but great off-road in the snow, mud and trails.......

I had KM2's on my XJ and hated them (yes, let the flamers start flaming). On snowy roads, they would spin until I put it in 4wd, and then still spin a little. I have heard they do dig well in deep snow offroad, but I can't attest to that since I never wheeled them before I ditched them for duratracs. I have no personal experience with the KL71's but I was damn close to getting them when I got the DT's. They do have some siping, so I would imagine they would do decent in the snow. I only went with the DT's over the KL71's because I had experience with them before on my old K5 and absolutely loved them.

If you're interested in the KM2's have a look at General Grabber A/T's... More siping, similar tread, and a heck of a lot cheaper.

I like the General's but I think I need more of an aggressive tread than those offer. My dad runs them on his mega cab and loves them. I'm buying them for my 4x4 nissan project though. Great prices also!

The kl71's have great reviews in the snow and mud. It depends on who you talk to about the km2's, either they love them or hate em. I just placing an order tomorrow.

Hey, I too am considering the Kumhos. I was first thinking of the Cooper STTs, but a few members here and some review sites sold me on the KL71s.

Feel free to check out my thread, there's some nice suggestions and comments there. I'm looking for a set of tires just like you. DD and weekend warrior.

Both tires have great reviews, look agressive and are decently priced. I just cant make up my mind on which one's to get. Driving me nuts!

Don't buy a mud tire for snow... Unless you're planning to add some sipping. The km2 is a great tire though. I'm really happy with them.

Enjoy!

I considered the STT's also, it was third on my list. There's not much of a selection in a 32" tire for a 15" rim.
