Default **** missing...don't know what the control is for

there is a control on my dash to the right of the steering column and left of the switch for the rear wiper. the **** is missing. i don't know what it is for. can anyone tell me? 91 Laredo

That's the button to turn on the flux capacitor, lol JK is it a **** or a toggle switch like in the pic ? I don't know of a factory option "****" switch

left of the steering wheel is the rear defrost and fog lights. to the right is just an empty peg, that appears to be a place where a dial **** would be attached, since it turns left and right and has one flat edge... and to the right of that is the rear washer/wiper.

all i can find on the internet in that spot is for an automatic transmission, but my xj is a 5-speed.

it's right where the auto transmission toggle is on the pic that is posted in this thread. but i have a manual transmission.

I have a 91 Laredo... I have no idea what you're talking about. Lol. There's a **** to the left of the steering wheel, that's the headlight switch.

Sounds to me like something someone may have added... a picture would help a lot.

i'll post a pic when i get a chance. i am the second owner and i don't think the first owner added anything. but i guess it's possible.

Yeah probably something someone added. that's where the auto tranny control switch thingy went, it's unused on 5-speed jeeps.

thank you everyone...i am going to just go with that it was added by the last owner. there is a remnant of something on my back window that looks like it may have been a mount for a phone antenna. perhaps it was somehow connected to that.
