Default kicker 400.1

i just bought the kicker zx 400.1 amp earlier today and i got my system hooked up today.. why is my zx symbol led red when the power to my xj is off im confused what can i do to sokve this problem not trying to have my system stolen bc of an obvious red light or my power drained over night..

put a towel over it or somthing, i dont know about actually fixing it, im no wiring guru

switcher to the radio head unit.
im guessing you didnt wire one did you?

I disconnected my amp antenna to the receiver and the red light shut off..idk what's up with it

but did you wire a remote/ switcher from your amp to your head unit

Yes I did I had to disconnect it to get it to turn off

ok here is what you should have wired from your amp.
1. power going to battery
2. ground going to bolt or something
3. switcher/remote to head unit switcher/ remote
4. rca to head unit
5. speaker + and - going to sub

Yup have all of that going to those places..and still having this problem..do kicker amps stay on all the time??

do you have all the wires in the correct place at head unit , i had the same problem with mine and i had the remote wire wrong.

not sure i doubt it.
your 100% sure you wired it to the right wire?
does your radio always stay on to?

there should be 3 wires meeting up at the remote
1. from wiring harness
2. from head unit
3. from amp

No my radio turns off with the car its just the amp running I followed the wiring diagram for my new head unit and amp
