Well this method is water approved for sure. It cleared up some here today right before I went to class so i took the jeep. It was sunny on campus so i parked on the top floor (open), no worries.

Well during class it turned to a freezing rain/hail mess. The jeep was soaked, and driving home i went down a few pretty flooded roads. The floors are herculiner and despite the drain holes, there was quite a buildup of water sloshing around.

Speakers are 100% dry.

Do you have any problems with it getting hot in your Jeep with no carpet?

This sounds awesome. Just waiting on the pictures when you can. My speakers are blown and this sounds like a good modification when I replace them.

lol... I see. My floor mats dont even sit right.. I feel like the XJ is small as hell. But to each their own, i think mine sounds alright with kenwood speakers.

It's not so much about the brand of speaker or quality, it is about where you can locate them when the doors are off. My mats never fit right either, but it can work in an XJ because my buddy Dave just txt me this morning that it worked for him.
