Ok so I've been doing hella research (my eyes are bleeding)
And have found out alot more about paint.
Some samples:

I'm running into town tomorrow, to Sherwin Williams to get some samples.
Oh yeah, I bought a cheap HVLP gun. Gonna shoot this thing!
I'll be back.

OK, so after an unsuccessful trip to Home Depot, Sherwin Williams, and Lowe's, I decided to order what I need.
I had to pay a hazmat fee, but in the end it was what I should have done all along.
You can avoid ppl's douchebaggary that way!
The idiot at SW wouldn't even work with me, and told me to go to the automotive paint store.
I tried to explain that I just needed some old school
alkyd enamel, but he wasn't hearing it.
Here's the deal; I'm just shooting this with flat industrial paint.
No tricks, no gimmicks.
Yes I'm aware it will fade. Yes I'm aware it will "chalk". So please don't
start in about how I need $300 worth of auto paint to "do it right"
This is a Jeep, not a classic street rod. I go through bushes that will scrape
any kind paint off! So I am not interested in shooting it just for looks.
My Jeep is a tool to me, much like a lawnmower, or a tractor.
If it was a nice street machine, of course I would never consider the same
approach. Fair enough? Ok.
Moving on,
So I ordered a gallon of GCI "earth yellow"
http://www.rapcoparts.com/30eayepotave.html
Imo, it has more of a desert/dead grass tone" than the greener/grayer Khaki blends.
This is the same stuff that they use over at SS http://www.steelsoldiers.com/forum.php
I will be reducing it with vm&p naphtha, which I also had to order due to it being banned for sale here in CA
You can also use Xylene, but I read that the Nap has a quicker dry time.
More to come.....

Sweet man! I'm anxious to see how that color turns out! It looks a little too yellow for me but I am looking at it on my iPhone and can't see it all that well. Keep us updated on the progress! Good luck!
