My 97 with 4.5" lift handles far better than it did before I lifted it. Stiffer springs make for less body roll. However lift doesn't give you more clearance at the axles, only at the unibody. And it does not give you more wheel travel unless you go to long arms, only changes where the jeep sits in the current travel.

 

Mine's a '91 Limited, And just rolled it over 70,000 miles a couple of weeks ago. (had 64,000 miles in '08, when I inherited it.) Other than replacing the sagging headliner, Fixing the comp/temp module in the overhead console, Replacing the factory Headlights with H4'S Replacing the preimium stereo (now it has 2 5 1/4's in the front doors, two 6X9's in the hatch, And a 10" sub in the rear passenger side pocket. All Rockford Fosgates, Powered by a 1400 watt 5 channel amp. under the rear seat. But you couldn't tell, because it looks the same. I even painted all the speaker grills to match the carpet. To deture would be theives.) It's my bad weather car, and hunting and trout fishing, and dog hauler. Here's a few pics. If I do any mods, Next would be a 2.5 lift from Old Man Emu.Attachment 31557
