I recently bought a cheap ($40) Kobalt mechanic's kit from Lowe's. It's cheap enough to keep in the Jeep and use on the trails. It's great! Had something come loose while driving a few days ago. Pulled over, got my kit, found the right socket, and fixed it. Compact little case too.

Unless I'm wheeling or taking a trip somewhere I try to keep the tools in the Jeep to a minimum. No sense in the extra weight of things I don't need, the clutter, or inviting people to steal my ****.

Daily I just carry a basic socket set, some pliers, a screwdriver with multiple heads, and duct tape. Basic stuff that will get me out of a breakdown or other minor issues. For the most part I'm rarely more than 10 minutes from home so I don't need to carry a ton of stuff with me.

Did you register it on their website? All their socket sets have lifetime warranties now that include theft or loss.

I don't have a workshop/garage, so all my tools are stored in my Jeep. Various rachets, sockets, hammer, drivers, cutters, cordless drill/driver, impact, sawzall, straps, wire, rope, tarp, lighter... You name it.

I disagree I'm a mechanic by trade I've been using my set of extra long metric wrenches 17mm-27mm for 5 years now every day really hard. I have yet to break one but I have broken my snap on and matco ones easily. Harbor freight sockets are the same thing cornwell sells with out the cornwell name they have a life time warranty

I have learned from messing with my XJ over the past 10 years that I would use basically the same group of tools for everything so I just keep those under my back seat. Flat and Phillips screw drivers of 2 sizes each. 3-4 size wrenches and the 4 most common sized sockets for a ratchet. 10mm seems the most common thing on there. Also keep extra fuses, extra relays, extra old belt, hose clamps.

I load for bear in this thing, and in fact in any other car I've ever owned. Experience has provided me with the paranoia to believe that the most inconvenient thing will break at the most inconvenient time, and therefore to have everything that you might ever possibly need with you at every possible time.

A-like, so...

In the back, I have a toolbox full of a random assortment of wrenches, hammers and mallets, pliers, screwdrivers, drill bits and extraneous sockets (Torx, etc.) and a bunch of screws, nuts, bolts, washers, fuses and electrical connectors. Also in the back, floating around (though I'd like to mount them somewhere), is an extendable snow brush (phht, like we get snow) and a shovel, just in case.

Then I've got a rubber bin that I think I got from Walmart. In there I keep a floor jack, along with my four-way lug wrench, a socket set, extension cord, extra fluids of every flavor, power drill (corded, no less!), service manual, stuff like PB Blaster and WD-40 and various other sundry bits and pieces.

FINALLY... under the back seat, I've got two bottle jacks, jumper cables, air compressor, a power inverter, USB and phone charger, crowbar and tow straps.

I like to think I'm prepared. Again, experience has taught me that I'm probably not.

I carry a complete set of metric and SAE open box end wrenches, plus metric and SAE sockets, 3/8ths and 1/2 inch ratchets, and a 1/2 inch breaker bar, screw drivers, pliers, Vice grips, and a 1/2 inch impact wrench.
My Cherokee doesn't use or leak fluids, and I check everything before I go wheeling so I don't carry much in the way of extra oil and lube, just one each of engine and gear lube.
I carry CO2 and a tire repair kit, a bottle jack, a jack stand, a high lift jack with a base, and sockets for the front axle nut and one for the transfer case fill plug and three ratchet straps to use for tire or axle repair.
There are a few more things I carry, but those are mostly for recovery and safety.

For jacks I have a hi lift and a cheap little floor Jack like one you can get at Walmart

For spares I have an axle shaft for each side up front. A driveshaft u joint and straps and a unit bearing hub assembly. I also have a taklebox full of bolts all different sizes and a bunch of electrical stuff. I have fluids for pretty much every thing. But with craftsman when your tool breaks, you can go get another, gotta love the life time warranty, i use craftsman for that reason, i know mac and snap on have to same warranty but i dont work in a garage so i dont have access to the elusive snap on truck
