Talking Just installed Sub, very happy!

I just invested a WHOLE 50 bucks on a never used Dual SBP8A 8" Sub with LEDs, built in amp and dual voice coils.

For only having a peak of 160 watts and a continuous 80 watts, It easily fills my 89 Cherokee with smooth low end sound. My deal also included the wires to install, so it was a piece of cake!

This is the first sub I have ever owned, let alone hooked up. I would recommend it to anyone who just wants more kick than what four 5.5" speakers can put out.

(having a good sterio helps too )

Uh oh, you've got the itch now, you'll want to upgrade sooner or later.

I've got 300 watts going to a 12 inch Kicker and am wishing for more bass.

Haha tell me about it. My friend who found me the deal has a 15' square kicker, and our other friend has two 15" subs with a 6000 watt amp.... I couldn't imagine haha. I gotta stick with this for a while at least.... haha

Do research, a properly tuned box with amplify and project much better then bargin bin stuff. A good buddy of mine does custom stereo work predominately on BMWs and I won a custom box of his at a car show. I had a cheap punch 10 with 300watts and stock speakers every where else and it was such perfect, crisp, deep sound. Yea you can have thump but a properly built box will blow your mind.

I gotta agree with ya my buddy is an audiophile who has won several sound quality comps with his Tacoma , and the is300 he owned. He helped me setup the stereo in my 95yj I could turn my stereo up all the way to max volume and the speakers were still loud crisp and clear. I could hear everything perfectly fine at 70mph with no doors or top with swamper tsl's.

Luckily 15+ years of going to heavy metal and punk shows has left me half deaf so I can't tell the difference between decent and high end audio **** anymore.

I used to have that same head unit and kinda wish I still did. I've had two Dual headunits and some of their speakers and I always thought they were just fine despite every review I see online saying their products are awful.

I can't stand a ton of bass but I can't stand not having any from not having a sub anymore either. Doesn't sound right without the bottom end of the sound to me anymore.

I feel the same way! It was **** to listen to with just my four 5.5" speakers. No lows what-so-ever.... And The reviews I found on Amazon about this setup all seemed pretty good, so I jumped on it haha.

Being an older Jeep, it is not so quiet going down the highway, so it was even harder to hear the music. Now with the bass, it seems to smooth out everything
