Default Is it just another jeep thing?

Took my Cherokee out on it's maiden voyage last night to try her out. It done very well I must say and very proud of my 5200 dollar investment. She'll climb up anything I would want to and probably a lot more. The thick dry sand was something else though. she does not like the sand at all. I've had 93 s-10, 84 k-5, 99 Suburban, and currently own a 99 Tahoe. That have all had varied response to the sand, but I must say this 93 Cherokee seemed to have to worst time I have ever seen. Is this common or is there some changes needing made to cross the sand pits??

There is no difference in the 4WD systems that you mention except 2. Limited slip diffs or tires.

The tires are pretty fair to good shape, I was wondering if it was a limited slip that I know the Tahoe and Suburban has. Not sure if the jeep has it?

Lots of variables here. apples to oranges.

It's not a Jeep thing though.

Good, glad to here. We have lots of thick dry sand in the areas I get to visit and need to traverse these areas to get where I'm going. I can pull a 6*10 trailer-4 wheeler though it with my Tahoe, but this thing well hardly pull its self. What in your opinion are some basic things and some more involved things to look at?
