Yup know what your saying we live debt free also anymore, any credit card used is paid off every month or not used to begin with and their use is limited. Cash is king and the banks are the IRS's bookkeeper I barter for a lot of things also.

I buy some newer cars and such but never Brand New any more and take that loss as soon as its titled with zero miles at least $3-6k off selling price, what a joke.

I work in north scottsdale, today my XJ is parked between a tesla and a bmw i8. normally I drive my infiniti (a 2005 I paid very little for) which fits in just a bit better, but my tires seem taller than the BMW.

I quit caring about others' vehicles a long time ago. a new, nice car is simply a loan away. I haven't had a car payment since 09ish. I also haven't owned a vehicle valued over $12k since then. don't care. the jeep fits my bill of daily driver requirements, and I like it.

I won't say I live debt free, as I still owe about 100k on my house, but I have no other debt. no credit card or any other payments. it sucks at time because I currently rely solely on my income to get stuff, a large portion of which i put in my 401k. I bought a c4 corvette in august and have a 7 year old girl to take care of. it gets a bit frustrating sometimes, like when I want a 100" tv, or some new guns. but whatever. honestly to me knowing i can do that stuff and having it is damn near the same thing. i prob don't watch 2 hours of tv a week and already have a hand in owning way more firearms and ammo than i could ever reasonably shoot.

That's a BMW joke and not really true for Porsche owners.

I've sold lots of cars and I'll tell ya' the Porsche folks were the coolest to deal with. There more ****** driving Hondas and toyotas than Porsches. Most porsche guys are tried and true car guys, they're just filthy filthy rich.

Uppity-

Spending money they don't have, to buy things they don't need, to impress people they don't like.

You may quote me.

On the other hand though. Just because you see someone drive a beat up xj sometimes doesn't mean that person doesn't have a 40k car or two of them at home both on a loan. Lots of people here have nice cars and use jeeps as winter vehicles.

There is no such thing as too many guns or too much ammo, in fact just yesterday UPS delivered 2000 rds. of ammo 1k of .45 ACP 230gr HP and 1k of 7.62 150gr HP. Reason it was on sale from Freedom Munitions a custom reloader with great prices on all there ammo.

But my wife and I shoot every day off of our rear deck at swinging plates and targets out to 100 yds. we just love to shoot and have done so for 35 yrs.. In fact she is the one that reloades all of our shotgun ammo for over 25 yrs., as we both shoot trap 3 times a week.

My favorite thing to do is get my jeep all nice and dirty, and then drive it downtown and watch all the snobby peoples mouths drop open as I drive by.

I love that about that store! It is the coolest trift store I have ever been in! We bought so much cool stuff from that store...at least a hundred books!
