I made a cardboard pattern of the door space below the door handle and then I had someone sew the door pockets for me which was simple for them- impossible for me. One nice feature is that they used some elastic in the top of the pocket so it doesn't sag when you put things in there. I believe they used Sunbrella fabric. Then I riveted snaps to the interior of door and the pocket just snaps on. If you know someone who can sew, this is a really easy project. I will post some pictures.

That's a pretty slick idea. There's not too many places within quick reach to store stuff in the xj besides that center console and it's way too small.

well sorta. It was a little too long if I had left the link full length so I cut it shorter and used a die to add more threads. Still cheaper and more fun then buying disconnects.

It was 10mm 1.5 pitch. They were cheaper when I got them and all steel. But here's a listing for the same size. Obviously only need two and only right hand thread ones.
